Stiperstones Trust
The Friends of the Monastery of St Antony and St Cuthbert exist to support the work of the Monastery through
prayer, work on site, financial giving and shared projects of various sorts. In the past, friends have helped
organise retreats on the Isle of Bardsey, work in the woods, fencing, and Friends’ Open Days. They have made
regular contributions month by month without which the Monastery would not exist. When Friends give a regular
donation by standing order, some sign a Gift Aid declaration that allows the Trust to reclaim tax at the current
rate.

Friends’ Open Days are held from time to time, usually on a Saturday. The Liturgy is celebrated with a Friends’
Choir and Friends spend the rest of the day sharing the life of the Monastery and relaxing with one another. The
first Friends’ Open Day took place on 12th October 2002. About thirty Friends attended on what turned out to
be the last warm day of late summer.

The next Friends’ Open Day will take place on the completion of the Chapter House refurbishment. Friends will
have the opportunity of using all the new facilities for the first time. The date will be fixed nearer the time of
completion. Contact Fr Silouan if you are interested.

If you would like to find out more about becoming a Friend or making a donation, contact the Monastery.
