Visitor Information

We will look forward to your stay with us. We want you to feel confident and relaxed and to fulfil the reason why you want to join us here.
Some people stay for a couple of hours and others for a couple of months. In either case knowing the ground rules is helpful.

The Monastery is set in a National Park, it is in a place of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is amazingly quiet (one can hear engines only infrequently), it is a long way from other houses. It is scientifically interesting, and parts of the monastery grounds are designated ancient woodland and rare ecosystems.

To make the most of your stay and to maintain the monastery’s purpose we have put together this little guide to help you.

By Car:

Come to Bridges Inn http://thebridgespub.co.uk/. Park there. Let us know 25 – 30 minutes before you arrive, and we will collect you. If you have a 4×4 we will guide you from there (you won’t find us otherwise).

PLEASE DO NOT PARK AT THE HOLLIES FARM WITHOUT PERMISSION.

The farmer finds that this causes him problems with his cattle and with tourists who wish
to use his farm as a car park.

Please try to arrive at a time when we can get back in time for the services and meals
and to be in bed at our normal time (8pm). (See the timetable). On occasion we may be
able to collect you from Shrewsbury, but this takes us the best part of two hours.
